The 11,000 sq m Prince Sultan Cultural Centre is the focal point of the Cultural City in Jeddah, providing a range of cultural and artistic activity and programming.

The Centre includes a 2,000 seat auditorium for performance and conventions, exhibitions, interactive experiences, gallery space, an interactive learning centre and creative spaces. The iconic, tilted, bowl shaped auditorium features a unique calligraphic design on the façade, overlooking a sky-pool with a waterfall cascading into the lake below.

Designed to drive social wellbeing and healthy living in the area, Hilson Moran was engaged to ensure air conditioning and ventilation, offering a comfortable experience away from of the high temperatures of the region. We provided building services and fire protection consultancy for the shell & core and fit out phases of the design which included district cooling, power and water infrastructure, above ground drainage, fire alarms and sprinkler systems.

The architectural design included an international collaboration between TKC and LCE, as well as landscape design from Hyland Edgar Driver, who helped create a series of grassy banks with footpaths at gentle gradients, leading to podium level.
