We are seeking to employ a Senior Flood Risk Assessment within our Infrastructure and Environment team in our London or Manchester offices.

The role

The role is to develop the existing flood risk skills within Hilson Moran’s Sustainability Group whilst developing both internal and external customer relationships. Experience in detailed flood risk modelling, the production of water resources sections of Environmental Statements and knowledge of GIS would be advantageous.  Duties specific to this role include undertaking: 

  • Flood Risk Assessments (FRA).
  • Sustainable drainage system design using software such as Microdrainage.
  • Hydrological assessments.
  • Hydraulic & river modelling skills desirable.
  • Client and regulatory body liaison.
  • Project management. 

We’d like to hear from you if you have

  • The successful candidate will have a relevant academic background.
  • First degree in a relevant subject (e.g a science or engineering)
  • Masters Degree in an environmental discipline related to hydrology.

This role would suit an established Consultant with proven experience preferably in a consultancy environment. 

Key skills

Technically competent i.e recognized as specialist in field, but with aspirations to perform a wider role including project management.
