The 135,000 sq m, office-led Port Baku Tower 2 in Azerbaijan creates an elegant addition to the Baku skyline. A landmark project for the city; the 48 storey East tower will be the tallest building in Baku, standing 251m when complete.

Striking paving design creates a unified inside/outside, helping to create a strong sense of arrival that demands intelligent Vertical Transportation solutions for occupants and visitors alike. We have provided Vertical Transportation consultancy services in response to this challenge, creating a modern, efficient solution befitting an iconic building. Double deck lifts with advanced destination control will enhance performance during peak arrival by grouping passengers to like destinations, resulting in lifts returning to the lobbies quicker and minimising waiting times.

Designed by architects and masterplanners Chapman Taylor, the project is centred around a disused 50m high furnace chimney built in 1900 and incorporates 28 occupied levels of designated Grade A office space. There are also restaurants, shops and landscaped spaces, including a dry fountain play-space which animates and cools the surrounding streetscape. A 160m x 6m media wall on the façade of the building will be the third largest in the world, and completes an elegant mixed use development for the city
