The role

Working within our Operational Buildings group delivering project services to our clients.

The main responsibilities would be to:

  • Engagement with and attending Client meetings.
  • Carry out surveys of mechanical plant.
  • Preparation of condition reports.
  • Feasibility Studies.
  • Production of engineering specifications.
  • Project co-ordination.
  • Contract Administration.
  • Providing technical support to clients.
  • Site monitoring activities and production of engineers reports.

The successful candidate will be a enthusiastic, proactive, adaptable, and approachable engineer with excellent client facing and communication skills at all levels, and takes the initiative.

We’d like to hear from you if you have

  • A degree in Mechanical Design or Building Services Engineering.
  • MSc or BSc in Environmental or Engineering discipline.
  • Be a Chartered Engineer or possess the desire to become Chartered by CIBSE or IMechE.
  • Mechanical design engineering experience at a Senior level, working on commercial (new build, refurbishments and fit out) developments.
  • Experienced in laboratories, light industrial, and/or hotel developments.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Services Engineering Systems including their performance, application and operation, gained in a design office.
  • Analytical skills to influence the drive for continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of sustainable building design, renewable and low carbon technology.
  • In-depth understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Experience of D&B projects would be an advantage.
