Part of a larger masterplan, Southwark Park Pavilion is a new build project that is located adjacent to the boating lake within Southwark Park. The greenery provides a perfect backdrop for the building’s white brickwork.
The pavilion consists of an open plan café area, commercial kitchen space, back of house office area and amenities for park users.

We were appointed as a sub-consultant to Bell Phillips to provide a multi-disciplinary service including MEP, acoustics and sustainability consultancy. We also co-ordinated new incoming utilities to the building, which was challenging given the location of the Pavilion within the Park. Photovoltaic panels were provided at roof level in order to offset the electrical supply demand from the grid.

The project was assessed under BREEAM 2014 with the subsequent MEP design implementing the requirements targeting in the BREEAM pre-assessment.

We ensured that all services were seamlessly coordinated with the architect and professional teams to ensure the integrity of the architectural concept and underlying operational requirements and principles were met and achieved.
