Background & Qualifications:
- MSc or BSc in Building Services Engineering Design, with Chartered Engineer status and professional membership of SoPHE are desirable.
- Expertise in Public Health Design Engineering, covering domestic hot and cold water services, soil, waste, rainwater drainage, and both above and below ground drainage.
- Experience with rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, solar hot water, and innovative design solutions is advantageous.
- Proven experience in commercial (new build, refurbishments, and fit-out), residential, and mixed-use developments from concept to detailed design.
- Strong knowledge of Building Services Engineering Systems, including their performance, application, and operation.
- A proactive, adaptable, and approachable engineer with excellent client-facing and communication skills, demonstrating initiative at all levels.
Skills:
- Strong technical expertise through client presentations, building trust and fostering relationships both internally and externally.
- Review calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
- Apply technical skills to successfully deliver complex projects while providing expert guidance to promote innovation and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with senior clients and stakeholders, assessing project variations and recommending necessary adjustments.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrate leadership, strong organisational skills, and attention to detail to ensure project milestones are met and successful outcomes achieved.
