Our practice has supported a number of projects with developers Bruntwood SciTech at the Citylabs site at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

This includes the ongoing development of Citylabs 2 & 3 along with the conversion of the Old St Mary’s Hospital into consultancy suites to provide around 10,000 sq m of space for both pharmaceutical R&D and commercial office use. Our services design has been developed to suit multiple occupancy profiles with flexible and adaptable systems which can be reconfigured during the life of the building to suit differing tenant needs.

We have also progressed two laboratory fit out projects to feasibility stage at the Citylabs 1 site for Reacta Biotech and The University of Manchester.

Citylabs 4.0 is currently under construction, a £42m, 125,000 sq ft specialist lab and office workspace at the City labs cluster.

Created in a joint venture partnership between Bruntwood SciTech and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, the campus provides life science and healthcare businesses with a unique opportunity to gain direct access and collaborate with the UK’s largest NHS Trust.
