Hilson Moran’s Matt Kitson appointed Vice Chair of QBBF
Matt Kitson, Regional Director of Hilson Moran Qatar, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Qatar British Business Forum (QBBF). A member for 4 years, the QBBF is an extremely important and valued Forum for our business, both commercially and socially, bringing together likeminded people to further British projects in Qatar and the Middle East region.
The QBBF was established in 1992 to promote trade between the United Kingdom and Qatar, two countries with strong historical ties. It is a flourishing, socially active organisation representing a broad membership base across all industry sectors. Above all, its role is to assist existing UK businesses and focus on new commercial opportunities through regular meetings and events which facilitate a purposeful exchange of views, opinions and experiences.
Hilson Moran opened its Qatar office in 2012 and, with the help of connections made through the QBBF, has grown from strength to strength, now boasting a diverse range of projects from masterplans/infrastructure to sports venues.
“With more than 500 individual members affiliated with nearly 80 different companies QBBF, the QBBF offers UK businesses an invaluable opportunity to network in Qatar” says Kitson. “In a region with completely different customs and ways of working, it also fosters community spirit. I’m delighted to have been appointed Vice Chair and look forward to producing another year of events.”
