Senior Transport Planner

We are seeking to employ a Senior Transport Planner to join our team in our London office.

The role

The Transport Team within the Infrastructure and Environment Division at Hilson Moran advise clients on environmental and infrastructure aspects of developments at the pre-planning and construction phase of schemes.

We are seeking to employ a Senior Transport Planner on a permanent basis in our London office.

You will get to work on a variety of projects from inception to completion, helping us to solve the transport planning challenges on our clients’ projects, whilst liaising with other members of the team to produce high quality sustainable designs and delivering work to the high standards that our clients demand.

Reporting the Associate Director of Transport, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the management and delivery of transport projects.
  • Undertaking technical reports including Transport Assessment and Travel Plans
  • Consultation with stakeholders including TfL, GLA, National Highways and local highway authorities.
  • Traffic modelling including the use of TRICS and Tempro
  • Development of engineering solutions in accordance with DMRB and other highway standards
  • Liaison and attendance at meetings with clients and responding to client’s requests for information;
  • Input into multi-disciplinary projects including transport support for Environmental Impact Assessments;

We’d like to hear from you if you have

  • Motivation and enthusiasm about the environment and improving our built environments
  • An understanding of the planning framework and its application on developments
  • Understanding of providing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other transport reports required for planning applications
  • Ability to undertake capacity modelling using PICADY and ARCADY and ideally LinSig
  • Understanding of designing preliminary highway layouts in accordance with DMRB
  • Ability to support the development of masterplans in regards to highway standards including Manual for Streets
  • Professional Membership of a relevant body.
  • Degree or Masters within a relevant subject
