Hilson Moran’s Jerry Rees presenting at Euronoise 2018

Senior Acoustics Consultant, Jerry Reese will be presenting his study entitled ‘Assessment of Ground-Borne Vibration from Underground Trains on a Proposed Residential Development’ at this year’s Euronoise conference in Heraklion, Crete.

Jerry’s presentation aims to provide a methodology for the estimation of tactile vibration and structure-borne noise caused by underground railway vibration, applying it to a specific case study with a proposed development above an underground railway line. The main issue was how to predict the level of vibration at the bottom of pile foundations before installation, where only surface measurements were available.

Held every three years, Euronoise is Europe’s leading acoustics conference including 55 structured sessions and around 600 presentations spread across the four days bring together noise experts from across the world. The conference this year will be taking place from 27th to 31st May 2018.

Jerry’s session will be taking place on Thursday 31st May at 12.20pm in lecture room 3 – Minos North.
