Since noise and vibration are usually required to be assessed at the planning stage of a development, detailed assessments, in accordance with the correct methodologies, are essential.
Hilson Moran Acoustics has broad experience of a variety of environmental assessments that may be required, including:
• BS 4142 assessments, to determine the likelihood of complaints due to industrial noise sources e.g. plant
• PPG 24 assessments, to determine the suitability of a site for residential development
• BS 5228 assessments, to predict demolition and construction noise around a site
• Transportation noise predictions and assessments, for road, rail and air traffic
• Other bespoke assessments.
Larger developments can also call for an Environmental Impact Assessment or an Environmental Statement, for which Hilson Moran Acoustics can provide detailed, coordinated input. |
