The new 46,600m² headquarters building for Axa Sun Life enabled them to regroup their departments from a number of buildings in Bristol to one single location.
A 32 acre site was developed with seven office modules sized to accommodate operational teams on one or half a floor of a module. A sinusoidal wave form fabric roof covered street provided the means for communication between modules and floors and contributed to informal meetings away from the work space. The engineering services were designed to provide a high level of flexibility and system resilience.
The development included a remote Energy Centre, Kitchen, Restaurant, Gym Facility, Printing, Training and Management Suites together with a 150 seat Auditorium with full AV and translator facilities.
The Architect for the scheme was Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and project managers Capital & Counties Plc. |
