The building, in Coombe Park, has its origins in a 12th century Cistercian abbey. Designated a site of special architectural/historic interest, and with Grade 1 listed status it demanded a careful and sensitive approach, working closely with the Architects to sympathetically integrate the engineering services. Refurbished, altered and extended, it is now a prestige hotel comprising 85 bedrooms, banqueting facility, bars and restaurants, syndicate meeting rooms and a conference centre, owned and operated by No Ordinary Hotels.
The Architect was Alan Johnson Associates.
