SPOTLIGHT PROJECTS
| EDITH CAVELL HOSPITAL, PETERBOROUGH (FERROVIAL/AMEY VENTURES) |
 |
As part of the Greater Peterborough Health Investment Plan, Hilson Moran prepared the services design for the PITN/FITN stage of this PFI project. The development incorporated a new acute hospital, Integrated Care Centre and Mental Health Unit as part of a £300 million scheme.
The facility included operating theatres, radiology, maternity and all departments associated with a 21st century acute hospital. Hilson Moran worked as part of the MediCo consortium, in alliance with HH Angus to bring North American experience to bear on established UK design principles.
Hilson Moran collaborated closely with the architects to develop energy efficient facades, and to develop a building to meet the energy targets required by the NHS and Department of Health.
The Architects were Anshen Dyer and Avanti.
