SPOTLIGHT PROJECTS
| SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT HEADQUARTERS, LONDON |
 |
Hilson Moran worked with architectural practice MoreySmith to create an innovative working environment for Sony Music Entertainment within its new 93,000m² London HQ. The Grade II listed Art Deco building was transformed into a 21st-century workplace for 450 people, housing some of the music industry's most famous labels, such as RCA, Columbia and Epic, Simon Cowell's label Syco and support departments.
The brief was to develop an innovative, creative and unique working environment, a music and entertainment emporium. The resulting interior reflects the client’s non-corporate brand image with a contemporary warehouse look throughout, combining concrete soffits with exposed services and suspended ceiling rafts.
Hilson Moran consulted on the lighting, building services, fire protection and IT in connection with the project. Sony Music Entertainment completed the move into its new building at the start of 2009.
